Meet the Board!
The Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities is comprised of seven members. Five members are appointed by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners. The remaining two members are appointed by the Tuscarawas County Probate Court Judge. The Superintendent reports directly to the Board, and is responsible for the overall operations and direction of the entire program, including implementing policies adopted by the Board.

Stephanie Wilson, Vice President
Stephanie Wilson of Zoar was reappointed to the TuscBDD Board by the County Commissioners for a second four-year term beginning January 1, 2015 and ending December 31, 2018. Ms. Wilson brings a broad base of experience to TuscBDD. Her past work experience includes serving as a crisis worker and group facilitator for Cornerstone Support Services (Southeast, Inc), a counselor for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, and a counselor, group facilitator, supervisor of Substance Abuse Department and Crisis Intervention Department at Community Mental Health. She is currently employed as Clinical Director at Heartland Behaviorial Healthcare in Massillon since November, 2015. Ms. Wilson is experienced with individuals with dual mental health and developmental disabilities diagnoses and currently serves as volunteer behavior expert for TuscBDD's Human Rights Committee which strives to ensure that the rights of individuals receiving services from TuscBDD are protected.
Robert Glasgow of Dover was appointed to the TuscBDD Board by the Probate Judge, Linda Kate as an immediate family member of an individual eligible for TuscBDD services. His was reappointed for a second four-year term beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2019. Mr. Glasgow of Dover works as the Operations Manager for DRASC, Inc. located in Sugarcreek. He has 30 years of experience in the field of employee training, managing health and safety, regulations and policy development, workers' compensation, and employee benefits. He has also volunteered as a Special Olympics basketball coach, Unified Bowling partner, and a high school basketball referee for 26 years. Mr. Glasgow is the parent of an individual who attended public school and now receives services from the TuscBDD adult program.
Thomas Fantin, President
Thomas Fantin of New Philadelphia was appointed to the TuscBDD Board by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners. His first four year term began January 1. 2014 and ends December 31, 2017. Mr. Fantin is employed as a CPA for the Dover office of Novogradac & Company LLP. He has 18 years of experience in the accounting field with specialized experience serving the accounting and business advisory needs of not-for-profit organizations and middle-market companies in a various industries. Mr. Fantin is a 2012-2013 graduate of Leadership Tuscarawas and has previous experience as a board member and treasurer for a not-for-profit organization in Ashland.
Linda Patterson of Dennison was appointed by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners to fill the unexpired term of a previous board member. Ms. Pattersons own first four-year term will begin January 1, 2017 and end December 31, 2020. Currently, she serves as a consultant for the Ohio Department of Education State Support Team Region 12 (an agency which provides technical assistance and professional development for 49 school districts in southeast Ohio and families relating to school improvement, early childhood and special education). Ms. Patterson specifically serves as a consultant for the agency's Family and Community Engagement Department. As part of this position, she enjoys assisting Ohio's schools and families develop family and community partnerships through the dissemination of pertinent information and training resources. Additionally, a key aspect of her position is liaising with parents of children with special needs to ensure that they receive the support needed to develop and implement effective learning plans for their children. She has been able to further her involvement in this field through serving on the Ohio Autism Collaborative as well as the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence's (OCALI) Dangerous Behavior Committee. She is also a dedicated community leader with experience serving on the Early Childhood Coordinating Committee and the Family and Children First Council of Harrison County. Ms. Patterson has also served in various volunteer leadership positions at her local church, Grace United Methodist in Uhrichsville, from Sunday School Director to a member of the Missions Committee. Her passion for this field is also derived from her personal experience raising a child with a developmental disability. Through persistence and patience, Samuel (Ms. Patterson's son), has completed his college education, lives independently and has a job that he loves.
Donna Wayt of New Philadelphia was appointed to the TuscBDD Board by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners as an immediate family member of an individual with developmental disabilities. Her second four-year term began Jan. 1, 2017 and will end Dec. 31, 2020. Ms. Wayt is married with two children. Her youngest son has Down syndrome. She first began working with TuscBDD's Early Intervention services shortly after her youngest son was born. Ms. Wayt's son graduated from public school. He has also graduated from a continuing education program at Buckeye Career Center and transitioned to community-based work with the assistance of TuscBDD's School to Work program. He is also a Special Olympics athlete. Ms. Wayt is in her tenth year of working for New Philadelphia City Schools as a para-professional aide. For four of those years, she worked with cross categorical units. She is now in her sixth year working with the autism unit. Ms. Wayt has also volunteered for the past 30-plus years in the Good Shepherd Ministry for adults with disabilities at her local church.

Ryan Yoss was appointed to the TuscBDD Board by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners to fill the expired term of a former board member. His first four year term began January 1, 2016 and ends December 31, 2019. Mr. Yoss is a Tax Supervisor at Rea and Associates, a certified public accounting firm in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He has 16 years of experience in the field of accounting and is a life-long resident of Tuscarawas County. Mr. Yoss is the parent of a son who receives services through TuscBDD. Mr. Yoss has expressed the tremendous benefit the program has provided to him and his family. Mr. Yoss is able to provide financial expertise to the board as well as the insight that comes from being a family member of someone who receives services through TuscBDD. Mr. Youss, his wife and son are active membersof New Pointe Community Church in Dover.
