Periodically, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) posts health and welfare alerts. These helpful documents are designed to aid families and caregivers identify risk factors in their loved ones.
The purpose of this Alert is to remind all providers of service of their responsibility to assure the immediate health and welfare of individuals they serve. When people who know the individual best see significant changes in an individual's medical condition, immediate medical attention should be obtained. When in doubt, seek medical attention immediately! We hope to raise awareness that in a medical emergency every second counts. Please click here to access this full alert.
All Health and Welfare Alerts are posted on DODD's website so individuals, families, providers, and County Boards can easily access them at any time. You also can sign up to receive an alert when new Information Notices and Alerts are published. The email Information Notice Alert will contain a copy of the new or updated Information Notice, as well as a link to the Department's archive of Information Notices on the Internet.
