PRESS RELEASE

TuscBDD Offers Informational Meetings on Remote Monitoring Technology

New Philadelphia, June 30, 2017: TuscBDD would like to invite the community to attend an informational meeting regarding remote monitoring technology on July 10th at the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities Service & Support Center at 610 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 at either 10 am or 5 pm. An increasing number of individuals and providers throughout Ohio are using remote monitoring technology to increase residential independence. Remote monitoring allows a person to live independently while having live two-way communication with support staff through a video feed, audio feed, motion sensing system, radio frequency identification, web-based monitoring system or other devices approved by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.

Mr. Jarrod Hunt, CEO of Wynn-Reeth, will be joining the meeting to provide an overview of remote monitoring and adaptive technologies available through Wynn-Reeth. Mr. Hunt will be available to answer any questions that you may have regarding this technology. Opportunities will also be provided to gain hands-on exposure to sample remote monitoring technologies at these sessions.

During this event, the Ohio Association of County Board's Mobile Museum of banners will be on display. Each banner represents a decade in history.

Individuals, families/guardians, and providers who may be interested in increased residential independence are encouraged to attend and learn more. This is event is free and open to the community. For more information, contact Chris Sapp by calling 330-339-9769 or by emailing csapp@tuscbdd.org.
