New Philadelphia, Ohio — As part of Always There — a yearlong campaign to recognize the 50th anniversary of Ohio's County Boards of Developmental Disabilities — the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities will host a bake sale and canned food drive during a Week of Service July 17 – 21.

The Always There campaign marks the establishment of Ohio's 88 county boards by the Ohio General Assembly in 1967. Additionally, TuscBDD was formed ten years prior and is thus celebrating its 60th year anniversary The theme reflects the continuity of support, promotion of opportunity, and history of partnership county boards have offered to people with developmental disabilities and their families throughout the past, in the present, and in the future.

"The Week of Service is an opportunity for us to say thank you and give back to residents in Tuscarawas County who have supported us and the people and families we serve for more than 50 years," said Kerri Silverthorn, TuscBDD's Community Relations and Special Projects Coordinator.

Employees and Volunteers from TuscBDD will make and sell sweet treats outside of the Charmed store located at 117 W.
