The Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities (TuscBDD) Continues Celebration of Developmental Disability Awareness Month

New Philadelphia, March 26th, 2026 – TuscBDD finishes out March DD Awareness month with two successful events; the TuscBDD and The Tuscarawas County Public Library (TCPL) DD Awareness Month Photo Contest and the Better Together Award Show and Community Partners Pancake Breakfast hosted at Tuscora Park showed large turnouts while highlighting community support toward people with developmental disabilities.

TuscBDD and the TCPL officially announced the winners of the DD Awareness Month Photo Contest during a ceremony held on March 12th, 2026. Participants were asked to submit photos that reflected this year’s theme, that being “What Support Looks Like To Me”, with each winner receiving a certificate and having their submission displayed in the lobby gallery. Both organizations would like to congratulate Melissa Mateo, Bronson Schwarm, and Sarah Sidoti/Ayleah Keen for their winning submissions.

TuscBDD held the annual Better Together Awards Show and Community Partners Pancake Breakfast at Tuscora Park on March 26th, 2026. A delicious breakfast was served to all attendees while representatives from TuscBDD and the Tuscarawas County Commissioners’ Office presented the awards to nominees. The organization would like to congratulate Julie Erwin, Buehler’s of New Philadelphia, Chelsea Lefler, and NewPointe Community Church for their winning nominations.

With the end of March drawing near, TuscBDD would like to thank everyone who attended/participated in the many events held this month; regardless of the time of year, TuscBDD will continue to celebrate and recognize people with developmental disabilities while supporting the community.
