TuscBDD Announces New Early Intervention Awareness Outreach Campaign

New Philadelphia, January 21, 2026 – Some developmental disabilities can severely impact a child’s progress in early life stages; Early Intervention (EI) aims to help children ages 0-3 reach their developmental goals regardless of the challenges they may face. For this reason, the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities (TuscBDD) is excited to announce a new social media campaign focused on spreading awareness toward its EI program and the benefits it can provide.

The EI Awareness Campaign will make use of multimedia consisting of videos, images, and captions posted to a variety of social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. This campaign will focus on current members of the EI program, depicting their everyday lives while providing insight into the various ways in which EI has benefited them. Some posts will include the parent/caretaker of the program member, allowing them contribute to the conversation and detail their experience working with EI. “The program has done so much for my family. I want to make sure I can spread the word of what EI can do for families like mine,” stated Jen Burnheimer. “My son Emery wouldn’t be where he’s at today without the support we were provided.” Finally, the campaign will incorporate a broadcast element in which organizers will appear on radio station(s) to promote the program. TuscBDD hopes that by the end of this campaign the concept of EI, as well as its numerous benefits, will have reached a wider audience.
