TuscBDD Hosts “The Power of Perspective”

New Philadelphia, November 17, 2025 – The Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities (TuscBDD) is pleased to announce “The Power of Perspective,” a free event open to the public taking place at the KSU Performing Arts Center on January 16th from 10 A.M. - 2 P.M.

This event will highlight a variety of skills and ideas that help to promote advocacy for people with developmental disabilities. “It is important for everyone to understand the diverse community around them,” stated Nate Kamban, TuscBDD Superintendent. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from speakers Jordyn Zimmerman and the Chris Nikic Team, two remarkable self-advocates who will offer their personal journeys and powerful insights toward the importance of perspective and inclusion for people with disabilities. “I had the opportunity to hear Jordyn speak and hear Chris’ story, and their messages impacted me deeply. I want more people in our community to experience that feeling and walk away empowered.”

For those interested in attending, a free pasta bar and garden salad lunch will be provided. Please RSVP using the link provided below. To learn more about advocacy speakers Jordyn Zimmerman and the Chris Nikic Team, visit www.jordynzimmerman.com and https://chrisnikic.com/ respectively.
