TuscBDD assists in COVID-19 vaccination efforts

The Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities has partnered with the New Philadelphia City Health Department and the Tuscarawas County Health Department to assist in vaccination efforts for adults with developmental disabilities who qualify for a vaccine as part of the Phase 1B roll-out.

Kaylee receives TuscBDD services and received her COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday afternoon at the TuscBDD and New Philadelphia Health Department vaccine clinic. Kaylee stated that she stayed 20 minutes after her shot, and did not have any problems on Thursday. On Friday, she said she had a slight soreness in her arm; that was the only symptom she experienced. Kaylee shared that she was happy to get the shot and looks forward to her second dose.
