Heather O'Connor

Heather O’Connon brings decades of experience in special education to the TuscBDD Board. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Akron and has spent her entire career serving students with disabilities. Heather has worked at River View Local Schools, Claymont City Schools for 29 years, and New Philadelphia City Schools beginning in 2025. She began her career as an Intervention Specialist and has worked across cross‑categorical and inclusive settings. For the past seven school years, she has served as a Student Services Director. Heather is also actively involved with the Council for Exceptional Children as both a board and committee member. She and her husband, Mark, have been married for 29 years and have two children.
