Periodically, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) posts health and welfare alerts.  The helpful documents are designed to aid families and caregivers identify risk factors in their loved ones. 

The purpose of this Alert is to inform all individuals and caregivers of the risks of falling and how to prevent them.  This alert offers information regarding the most common risk factors and how to make your environment safe in order to prevent falls from occuring.  Please read the alert itself for more information.

All Health and Welfare Alerts are posted on DODD's website so individuals, families, providers, and County Boards can easily access them at any time.  You also can sign up to receive an alert when new Information Notices and Alerts are published.  The email Information Notice Alert will contain a copy of the new or updated Information Notice, as well as a link to the Department's archive of Information Notices on the Internet.  to subscribe, send an email to join-info-notice@list.dodd.ohio.gov.
