FANS Network
The Fans Network is an inclusive club supported by the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities (TuscBDD). This club hosts activities and events in the community and online and unites people with and without disabilities. We invite all people to come make new friends and have fun at our free events. Join the TuscBDD FANS Network Facebook Group to get involved in all of those activities and more! All online invite and activity links will be posted in the Facebook group.
Book Club: Get ready to spice up your social life! Join the FANS Book Club and dive into the juicy details of your favorite reads! Whether you're into romance or mystery, we've got you covered. You can join us either online, where we'll connect on Zoom, or in-person at the Dover Public Library and other various community locations - the choice is yours! For those who would rather listen than read, we adapt to our audience and can bring the story to life by reading aloud and including activities.
Game Time: Bring your game face and get ready to rumble with our FANS Game Time events! From card games to scavenger hunts, we have something for everyone. You can join us either online or in-person at the Dover Public Library and other various community locations.
Movie Nights: Grab some popcorn and get comfy because FANS Movie Time is here! We'll watch a movie together online via Zoom, so you can enjoy the show from the comfort of your own couch. These are typically held monthly in fall and winter.
Walking Club: Join our FANS Walking Club and stay in shape while having a blast! Meet us at the food court in New Towne Mall, local parks, and other various places throughout the community and we'll keep track of your laps. We'll even throw in an exciting scavenger hunt to keep things interesting.
Outreach Programs: We are all about spreading the love for acceptance, inclusion, and kindness! Teaming up with awesome groups and schools, we're on a mission to deliver this message to you! From fun programs for students to book blasts, we've got you covered. Plus, every year, we shower 1st-grade classes in the county with books celebrating inclusion and kindness.
