TuscBDD Employee Benefits

The Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities recognizes that offering a comprehensive benefits package is important to our employees. Our healthcare plan is designed to protect employees and their families against financial hardship in the event of a serious illness or injury. We also have a wellness program which encourages employees to take an active part in their own health and wellness. We offer the following:

Community Health Worker, Bridges to Wellness Program
Flexible, part-time position!

Working under the leadership of the Service and Support Administration Manager and direct supervision of the Family and Children First Council Manager, the Community Health Worker (CHW) is responsible for helping clients and their families navigate and access community services and adopt healthy behaviors. Through home visits, the CHW assists clients in overcoming barriers to health, social services, education, and employment. The CHW also provides social support, informal counseling, and advocates for individual and community health needs. The CHW expertly navigates the health and human services systems to bridge the gap between communities and health and social service systems.
Behavior Support Assistant
Under direct supervision of the Behavior Support Supervisor, the Behavior Support Assistant gathers and compiles data related to student behavior. Working primarily in public school districts, the Behavior Support Assistant models and implements behavior intervention strategies to assist school staff and parents in the implementation of a student’s Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). Utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies to promote a positive school experience that encourages each student’s growth and achieves the least restrictive educational placement. A Behavior Support Assistant only intervenes physically when a student’s actions pose an extreme risk of harm to self or others.
