PRESS RELEASE

Coffee and Canvas at Charmed: Gifts with Meaning

New Philadelphia, August 21, 2017: A celebration of creativity and art made better with coffee will take place at Charmed: Gifts with Meaning at their first ever Coffee and Canvas event on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Deb Herbert, a New Philadelphia artist, will instruct the class in painting a fall themed pumpkin picture. Herbert operated the former A World of Possibilities store before the store was moved and the name was changed to Charmed. Herbert taught art and painting for a number of years to people with disabilities and since her retirement has instructed at other sip and paint events.

Cost for the event is $25 and includes everything needed to complete the project. Seating is limited to 12 on a first come, first serve basis. Register for the class in advance at Charmed. Please call 330-339-3199 or email tstein@tuscbdd.org for more information. The store is located at 117 West High Avenue in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Charmed: Gifts with Meaning is supported by the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities. The store offers products for sale made by consignors with and without disabilities. People who are eligible to receive services through TuscBDD pay no consignment fee and receive all proceeds from their sales.

Charmed also offers an internship program to provide work experience to people with developmental disabilities. The store strives to build community by highlighting abilities, raising funds for local Special Olympians, hosting special events and participating in New Philadelphia Business and Community happenings, and promoting other non-profits in Tuscarawas County.
