Greetings from Classroom 11!

Our class is studying electricity this month and how we depend on it every day. We did an experiment with battery power that compared the claims versus performance of three brand name batteries. We formed a hypothesis about quality verses price. We used identical brand new flashlights with a different brand of battery in each claiming the same expiration date, turned them on, and then watched and waited. We recorded the number of hours the flashlights were on until each of the three had gone dead. THEN.... We compared each battery's actual claim to how it performed! We will present our findings at the Science Fair this month.
